I appealed pointing out that I&#8217;d simply extracted it from a nine-hour City of Edmonton council meeting already on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>As per 100% of the time so far, the appeal was immediately rejected, but the council video was left unaffected. Apparently, it&#8217;s not &#8220;medical misinformation&#8221; if it remains buried in a nine-hour video.<\/p>\n<p>Anna Brees interviewed him two weeks later (this interview) and posted. It&#8217;s the 27th of November, 2020. And I&#8217;m talking to Dr. Roger Hodkinson, the man that <a href=\"https:\/\/lbry.tv\/@Dryburgh:7\/Roger-Hodkinson-Community-and-Public-Services-Committee-11132020_spectrogram:b?r=9sSJgFzJnS1qtSRUyopf1tCLghVN6fvm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">broke social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/darachi.com\/dr-hodkinson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Roger Hodkinson<\/a>, I think is a problem for Facebook and Google. <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">In terms of what I had a very successful, very large YouTube channel, but I won&#8217;t stop speaking to important voices because I&#8217;m a mother. I&#8217;m concerned about democracy. I&#8217;m concerned about my children. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Thank you so much for joining me. I&#8217;m very concerned, Dr. Roger Hodkinson, that on Google and on Facebook, you&#8217;re not being heard. So I&#8217;m going to do everything I possibly can to get your testimony out there.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 00:36<\/h6>\n<p>I&#8217;m a traditional physician. <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">I spent my life in evidence-based medicine, and I adhere to one of the most important tenets of the Hippocratic oath, which is first, do no harm. All the unintended consequences of these interventions, internationally, it&#8217;s very clear to me that the degree of harm in many different aspects of society, and if I could elaborate on, grossly exceeds the benefit that they claim.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6>Anna Brees<\/h6>\n<p>Tell us what it is.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">It&#8217;s no different from last year&#8217;s flu. What else do you want to know? There are nuances of difference that are irrelevant. It&#8217;s not SARS. It&#8217;s not Ebola. We&#8217;re dealing with an upper respiratory tract infection caused by a virus, which is out of the bottle. The genie is out of the bottle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">It is utterly unstoppable by any of the measures that are being contemplated. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">Masks don&#8217;t work, social distancing doesn&#8217;t work, closures of all kind don&#8217;t work. Testing doesn&#8217;t work.<\/span> None of it works to address the problem because the genie is out of the bottle.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 1:55<\/h6>\n<p>The Milan experience is <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">very, very clear that, and elsewhere since, that the majority of deaths are occurring in elderly people with co-morbidities.<\/span> And in our own province here, if you translate those numbers into actual hardcore numbers, that the lay people would understand, t<span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">he risk of death under 60 in the province of Alberta in Canada is &#8211; and people who are otherwise well, the working well as I call them &#8211; the risk of death is one in 300,000. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t inject into ordinary life these draconian measures to try and save one in 300,000 people. Many of those that are under 60 and are dying of this also have co-morbidities, by the way. Bad disease doesn&#8217;t start at the age of 60. So if there&#8217;s no real significant threat for the vast majority of the population, the entire focus, as The Great Barrington Declaration said, is focused protection for the people that are vulnerable, the elderly in nursing homes, for whom there should be a redoubling of protection.<\/p>\n<h6>Anna Brees \u279d 03:07<\/h6>\n<p>Well, you know, what authority do you have to speak on this subject? You&#8217;re obviously a concern to Facebook and Google because there&#8217;s massive censorship issues around your testimony.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson<\/h6>\n<p>Well, let me tell you how medicine really works. First of all, of course, I did sign off on the The Great Barrington Declaration, and I&#8217;m very proud to be in the company of so many experts with way more experience than I have.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote\">\n<div class=\"quote-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"quote-date\">November 29, 2020<\/div>\n<div class=\"quote-content\">\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s no different from last year\u2019s flu. And then you go out and you practice, and you&#8217;re expected to keep up with your continuing medical education. You read extensively what other experts are saying, and you assess that information.<\/p>\n<p>And then you determine if it&#8217;s sufficient for you to use in your own practice. That&#8217;s how medicine works as a result of a scientific debate that&#8217;s taking off in the stratosphere that you&#8217;re not involved in, and you read it all, and you form your own opinion and it percolates down in journals as dogma, and then you teach it.<\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s how medicine actually works. So doctors are afraid to stand up. They&#8217;re afraid because of the potential loss of their income. If they&#8217;re in a group practice, they&#8217;re afraid of the college coming down on them, like a ton of bricks like they have on me. Because their incomes are at stake.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 4:49<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">It&#8217;s an example of wokeism. It&#8217;s endemic everywhere.<\/span> It&#8217;s not just in medicine. Particularly in universities. My wife later in life had got a degree recently from a local university, and the intimidation is not just subliminal.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s so overt that if you articulate something that&#8217;s contrary to current narrative in any social issue, your grades are sinked significantly in jeopardy, and that&#8217;s endemic everywhere in society now. Wokeism rules.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 5:22<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">And COVID unquestionably, it&#8217;s salute the tinpot dictators that are imposing all these draconian restrictions on personal freedoms. That&#8217;s unquestionably the narrative. The average person feels that they have to trust their leaders. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">And so they implicitly put their masks on, do social distancing, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. They&#8217;re like lemmings to the slaughter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It should be exactly like last year where there was a thing called personal responsibility. If you were sick, you stayed at home. You didn\u2019t need the state to tell you or a test.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 5:48<\/h6>\n<p>I think one has to look at both the micro picture on the ground, and also the macro, macro picture at the other end. Let&#8217;s deal with the micro, micro picture for a minute. I had, because of the <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">death threats that I&#8217;ve been getting,<\/span> I had a call from someone from victim services locally, who was concerned about my welfare.<\/p>\n<p>And we had a very nice conversation that ended up, though, with her reciting to me, the fact that <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">she had been prevented from visiting her dying father. There&#8217;s nothing more heinous than that.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 06:27<\/h6>\n<p>According to &#8211; you could look it up, there&#8217;s a statistician in Edinburgh who was drawing attention to the fact that the incremental national debts in Britain directly attributable to all the actions being taken on COVID is approximately at this moment 150, I got to get the B&#8217;s right, <span style=\"color: #000000; background-color: #e3edfd;\">150 billion pounds, which is expected to grow to approximately 500 billion, a half a trillion by the time this is all over.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson<\/h6>\n<p>So I got an envelope out and a calculator because you need a calculator when you&#8217;ve got lots and lots of zeros, and <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">I divided 500 billion pounds of borrowed money for our children to repay by 50,000 sad deaths that have occurred in the UK.\u00a0 And the number that you get is 10 million pounds. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">10 million pounds of borrowed money has been pissed out of the window by politicians trying to do the impossible.<\/span> So my friend in Britain, Dr. Grimes, said somewhat amused by all of this, he said, &#8220;Those were expensive funerals, weren&#8217;t they, Roger?&#8221; You&#8217;re damn right they were. It&#8217;s orders of magnitude more than the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.channel4.com\/news\/drugs-life-breast-cancer-nice-20-000-a-year-of-life-nhs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a320,000 limit<\/a>, that government puts on the value of a human life in Britain, in terms of whether they&#8217;ll do anything or not to save from X.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 08:02<\/h6>\n<p>And these are fact checkers at AP. They wanted to fact check me, and they started off the email by saying, dear Mr. Hodkinson.<\/p>\n<h6>Anna Brees \u279d 08:15<\/h6>\n<p>Tell me about that video that went viral. What was in your heart and mind that day? Why did you say what you said?<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson<\/h6>\n<p>Well, I heard in the newspaper that there was a subcommittee of our local city council who was considering an extension of what they call the mass mandate. And I knew they listed the people on the committee. I knew one of them was likely of a similar persuasion to me.<\/p>\n<p>So I called him just to ask him, how could I offer my comments? And so I simply with very short notice &#8211; chicken scratch, 8.5 by 11 &#8211; very short notice. I did a scratch telephone call in virtual to the council having to wait all day for my five minutes.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote\">\n<div class=\"quote-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"quote-date\">November 29, 2020<\/div>\n<div class=\"quote-content\">\n<p>&#8220;Masks don\u2019t work, social distancing doesn\u2019t work, closures of all kind don\u2019t work. I was fairly dramatic in what I said, and it was intentional because I know how the media works and I did want to get potentially some local attention if not the attention to the counselors.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 9:29<\/h6>\n<p>So I said what I did in the vernacular. But I never, in my wildest dreams thought that a scratch five minute telephone connection would get so much prominence.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 9:42<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">I did it for another reason too. And that was knowing that there&#8217;s so many ordinary people out there with similar views, but unsure of whether they&#8217;re right. I thought that standing up with my limited credentials would give them some comfort that what they&#8217;re feeling is true.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6>Anna Brees \u279d 10:07<\/h6>\n<p>Why is this happening? And what are the solutions? So could you address that? Why do you think this is happening? And what are the solutions?<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson<\/h6>\n<p>The brief historical reason this is happening is very simple. It was a dirty pair of shoes that walked out of a high security lab in Wuhan that became entered into the general population. The air flights between Wuhan and Milan, because of the leather industry, immediately transported it to Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The genie was out of the bottle. People started dying like flies in Milan. <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">Ferguson got hold of it at Imperial College, he plugged in numbers into his absurd cube computer modeling and came up with these ridiculous predictions. The media got hold of it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The media gorges on crisis, as you well know, it&#8217;s what sells advertising. The media got hold of it, fanned it like mercilessly internationally. And so ministers of health internationally at the same moment in time would have&#8230; The premiers would have looked to their ministers of health.<\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson<\/h6>\n<p>And the conversation would have gone something like this. &#8220;Holy shit. Have you seen these numbers? I want to plan on my desk tomorrow morning. I don&#8217;t care what it is, except it&#8217;s gotta be visible and immediate. Do you hear me?&#8221; That&#8217;s what they did.<\/p>\n<p>They implemented what the only thing is I could think of were masks and social distancing and all these other things. Understandably, it might&#8217;ve been true. <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">They didn&#8217;t know it at that time, but very shortly thereafter, they did from the Milan experience and others, that it was picking up old people who were very vulnerable with co-morbidities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 11:50<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">How many angels can have a meal in a restaurant today? Is it 23 today? Is it 45 tomorrow? These arbitrary decisions by idiots were implemented internationally overnight.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6>Roger Hodkinson \u279d 12:06<\/h6>\n<p>The solution is the <a href=\"https:\/\/gbdeclaration.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Great Barrington Declaration<\/a> with the wonderful phrase of focused protection, we should do absolutely nothing for the working well. <span style=\"background-color: #e3edfd;\">It should be exactly like last year where there was a thing called personal responsibility. If you were sick, you stayed at home. You didn&#8217;t need the state to tell you or a test. You stayed at home, you had chicken noodle soup, you sprinkled it with Tylenol. You went to bed, you sweated it out. And you decided when you were going to return to work, not the state, without affecting everyone else in society with all the knock-on consequences of suicides and business bankruptcies and overdoses, and you name it.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote\">\n<div class=\"quote-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"quote-date\">November 29, 2020<\/div>\n<div class=\"quote-content\">\n<p>&#8220;It should be exactly like last year where there was a thing called personal responsibility.
